The Kaze (Wind) Wakizashi is the result of a clay tempered (hardened) blade using our 9260 Silicon Alloy Spring Steel. This sword is made as a companion sword to the full length Kaze Katana. It is finished with a replica of an antique blackened cast steel tsuba and uses the new bamboo/copper mekugi pin.

The "Yamakami" Wakizashi is a matching shoto for the Yamakami katana. The theme of this blade is the mokko shaped mounting with the snow capped top of Mt. Fuji in its design. This is a broad blade made especially for exercises cutting goza or tatami omote mats. Its construction is based on a specialized dojo cutter and is the result of over half a year in development.
