is in making blades, we would like to offer our customers the option
to purchase our blades by itself... (50% of our fitting are from
aftermarket parts from wholesalers shared with other makers).
Those who would
like to mount their own sword will now be able to buy the blade
only or with any part that they need... without having to pay for
the extras that they don't need.
This is a great
opportunity for those who would like to test their skills at shaping
tsuka ho, wrap their own ito, or use custom fittings on a production
blade.... Makes for a great project.

saya made for Cheness production katanas. (may or may not fit other katanas with
similar geometry - 0.7" sori, 0.3" blade width). Saya opening is made
tight so that it may be trimmed out manually to fit varying
habaki width and height. Will require rework to cut open the saya opening. Sayas
comes with the stronger synthetic sageo. Blade length referred to is the distance
from the tip to the mune-machi (nagasa length). |
